Sunflower, an active adult retirement community being developed by Del Webb, is located in the town of Marana in the eastern foothills of the Tucson Mountains, twelve miles northwest of downtown Tucson. It was opened in 1996 and when completed, will consist of about 1000 homes, ranging in size from approximately 1100 to 1800 sq. ft. and in price from $90,000 to $150,000.

An activity center provides facilities for group activities and entertainment, as well as an exercise room, outdoor pool and spa, tennis courts, and facilities for bocce ball and horseshoes.
